Agriturismo Corte Breda

The Corte Breda farm is located in Chiari, in the middle of seventeenth century farmhouses, in Monte Isola and in Franciacorta.

In Chiari, on one hectare area, there are greenhouses for hydroponic growing of strawberries with the innovative "soilless" technique.

Inside the farm, among strawberries fields and surrounded by corn fields, there is the Corte Breda agriturismo.

The farm was created by restoring an old stone farmhouse, with enclosed courtyard, dated mid seventeenth century.

The long restoration and recovery has not changed in any way the spirit of the place.
All the recovered materials from the restructuring have been restored and reused, including beams; integrating them, if missing, only with fine materials of historic and artistic interest.
This special attention on restructuring, enhances even more the structure that appears today as a wonderful window on the past.

During the restructuring the inner cloister has been kept intact, gardens and the well from 1600 dC.
In the large living room with vaulted ceilings (former cowshed), now used for great events, there are Pompeian frescos reproductions and a sixteenth-century stone fireplace.

The unique closed courtyard structure ensures total privacy and an extremely quiet and relaxing atmosphere. It lends itself also to be a safe place for children who are free to run and play safely in the courtyard.

The property is registered as an agricultural settlement of outstanding, environmental and architectural landscape value.
It is bordered to the south with Seriola" "Old dating back to 1300, to the north with the "New Seriola" completed in 1548 and also is allowed to keep the canal water "Fusia", coming from Sarnico since the 1400s.
