Where we are
From the north – (A1 Autostrada del sole motorway), exit at Valdichiana (Bettolle) and follow the signs for Perugia. Exit at Perugia-Madonna Alta and turn left in the direction of San Sisto. After 200 meters go past the first roundabout, in the direction of Pila. After 1 kilometer, go past the 2nd roundabout, once again towards Pila. Go straight on for another 500 meters until reaching the 3rd roundabout, take the road to the right and continue towards Pila. At this point go straight on through the first and second traffic lights, going straight towards Spina. After 3 kilometres is the 4th roundabout, which should be passed, heading straight on for Spina-S.Biagio della Valle. After about 1 kilometre there is a street sign showing 8 kilometres; 200 meters further on is the entrance to Antica Posta Vallelunga.
From the south – Take the A1 motorway and exit at Orte, then take the right-hand road for Terni. After 20 kilometres get on freeway E45 for Perugia-Cesena. Nearing Perugia, go past the Balanzano exit, then take the Perugia-Firenze link road. Exit at Perugia-Madonna Alta immediately after the fourth tunnel, and turn left towards San Sisto. After about 200 meters go past the first roundabout and continue towards Pila. After about 1 kilometres, go past the 2nd roundabout, once again in the direction of Pila. Go straight on for another 500 meters until reaching the 3rd roundabout, take the road to the right and continue towards Pila. At this point go straight on through the first and second traffic lights, going straight towards Spina. After 3 kilometres is the 4th roundabout, which should be passed, heading straight on for Spina-S.Biagio della Valle. ATTRACTION
Near the property is possible to play golf (golf club Perugia is at only 6 Km), while the Trasimeno lake, where to have a boat trip, is at only 20minutes by car. The horse riding ground is at only 200m.
At San Biagio della Valle (only 1 Km), there is the market, while the bakery, the bar and the tobacconist are in Pila, at only 3 Km. The laundry is at only 300m from Antica Posta
At 5 minutes by car there is an other small Village, Spina, Characterised by the presence of an old castle that domains all the valley. In Spina there are a chemist, a bank, and a butcher, as well as a mini supermarketand a bar and a tabacconist.
At San Biagio della Valle there is tennis court.
The nearest commercial centre is Emisfero, in Perugia at only 8 Km.
The railway station is at only 10 Km while the centre of perugia is at 15/20 minutes by car.
Around the center there are many parks where leave the car and discover the city by walking, reaching the main street through the Rocca Paolina, one of the most important monuments of the city.
Perugia, with its monuments such as the Etruscan Arch, the museums and its majestic main street, Corso Vannucci, could be one of your excursion, to admire its architecture and discover its small streets, or having lunch or a drink in a bar of the city center.
Throughout the year Umbria region organize a great variety of art events, exhibition, music, theatre etc, and available at the www.umbria-turismo.it . In each house there is a booked of informations writed by the owner and where the guests can get advices and informations about the various villages and the various characteristic cities to visit in Umbria (Todi, Spello, Spoleto, Montefalco, Norcia, Bevagna for example), the attractions of each city and town, things to do and see, the various monuments and museums.
In every house are also available tourist guides and brochures for guests.
In spring un until autumn Umbria Region is rich of village festival (named sagre), where sometimes people wear costumes that recall the clothes of a time, as the Gaite in Bevagna, and where you can taste the typical foods of the place, dance, listen music and watch the various entertainment shows.
In Deruta, city worldwide famous for its ceramics, the people fond of these creations can have fun with the wide variety of shops and artisans who make and sell pottery of any kind, suitable like home furnishings and whatever 'more.In Deruta there is also the Ceramics Museum, opened all year and where are often organized exhibitions.
